Album Info:A quiet Sunday afternnoon following church found the resting equipment of a NS rail joint removal gang on the old CofGA P-Line from Columbus, GA to Birmingham, AL. The gang was tied up at the old MofW yard area at Opelika, the base for the welder and signal maintainer in the area. The oddity was the old Little Giant truck, outfitted from the 1980s. Southern was an innovator in welded rail as this very old NS reletter veteran can attest.
