Title:  A run by of a Columbus based LaFayette Turn near Danway
Description:  LaFayette bound GE 3536 were from a vantage point near MP T-329 about a mile north of Danway ( T-328 ) . The BF of dressed lumber was picked up at Dudley in Salem and carried to L:aFayatte and back to save a few switching moves in Opelika.

Description:  In later years, the NS Opelika Swticher was cut off and replaced by a turn running out of Opelika which made the trip to Lafayette and returned a couple times per week. These later era trains were long and usually warranted what ever Columbus Yard in Columbus, GA could muster. Typical power was a pair of GPs or in this case, a single B40-8.
