Album Info:Over the past few years, CSX has steadily upgraded the ABS and partially jointed rail AWP-WofA sub, particularly in Alabama. To date, the stick rail is gone and a spot tamping/welding gang worked through replacing insulated joints with new bonded versions. This required changing lengths of rail, rebuilding several crossings and tamping and finishing short sections on either side. This retrofit included addition of radio code stations to link the shrinking portions of non CTC signal control. I caught the gang working in Cusseta, AL near the last of the assigment.
