Leased to LW, this southern caboose works well with the also leased SW-1 |
| Description: |
By the time the pictures were taken in this album somewhere in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the LW still represented an operational railroad with leased Southern Railway SW power and car storage. The railroad now exists as a short lead off the ex CofGA main and lends its reporting marks to a large railcar leasing entity more than as an operating railroad |

Retired caboose being delivered to LaFayette, AL for eventual display by the depot there, which was now a county museum. |
| Description: |
In later years, the NS Opelika Swticher was cut off and replaced by a turn running out of Opelika which made the trip to Lafayette and returned a couple times per week. These later era trains were long and usually warranted what ever Columbus Yard in Columbus, GA could muster. Typical power was a pair of GPs or in this case, a single B32-8. |
